Is there a thing called Political Correctness?

Having thought a lot about the recent upheavals in the Indian Parliament, I decided there might be an universal truth emerging. A trend, an analysis without data if I may call it that.

Every political organization is like a living organism. It requires energy to survive. This energy is fueled by money, vote share and policies. Living organisms resort many survival tactics, so do political entities. Implicit and Explicit actions that make these reach the desired operating state. So who sets the law? Is it the most powerful who is right, or the most rich, or the most supported? What is the right approach?

Power corrupts, Absolute power corrupts absolutely. So it is not Power.

Over 50% of the world wealth is held by the super rich who are less than 1% of the population. Is it right that they dictate policies (that they might as well not empathize with or just use it to further their own ends). So its not money either.

A real political organization can only survive forever with populist and bold people friendly policies.

Policies that bring about change. Lasting change.

Change that makes a farmer get access to seed banks without middlemen, change that allows citizens to walk in the dark without the fear of abuse or theft, change that makes the air and water cleaner for our children, and change that makes others voluntarily want to adopt and apply the same model.

In my opinion, True Populism isn't defined by giving what the majority wants. It is by balancing what is available with what everyone wants in a fair and transparent manner, without prejudice. Sure, it will take a lot more time to define the elements. True, it will be painstakingly detailed at multiple levels. Of course, it will be time consuming. But then, which Wonder of the World was built/created in a day?

So, coming back to the original question on political correctness, is there such a thing? I believe so. However, it requires nurturing and encouragement, very similar to growing a tree or bringing up a child. Give it the right elements and you will see a World of difference.
